O Programa busca compreender os processos geol\u00f3gicos de forma integrada, contribuindo para a caracteriza\u00e7\u00e3o de recursos naturais e para o desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hist\u00f3rico<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O Programa de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Geologia (PPGGEO\/UFVJM) foi criado em 2017 com o objetivo de fortalecer a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de recursos humanos qualificados e a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de conhecimento na \u00e1rea de Geoci\u00eancias, com \u00eanfase nas demandas regionais do Norte e Nordeste de Minas Gerais. Desde sua cria\u00e7\u00e3o, o Programa vem consolidando sua atua\u00e7\u00e3o por meio do desenvolvimento de pesquisas voltadas \u00e0 caracteriza\u00e7\u00e3o geol\u00f3gica, \u00e0 avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de recursos naturais e \u00e0 an\u00e1lise ambiental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ao longo de sua trajet\u00f3ria, o PPGGEO tem ampliado sua inser\u00e7\u00e3o acad\u00eamica e regional, promovendo a integra\u00e7\u00e3o entre ensino, pesquisa e extens\u00e3o, e estabelecendo parcerias com institui\u00e7\u00f5es p\u00fablicas e privadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Em 2025, o Programa passou por um processo de recredenciamento de seu corpo docente, com o objetivo de fortalecer suas linhas de pesquisa e aprimorar sua estrutura acad\u00eamica. Atualmente, o PPGGEO conta com 20 docentes, sendo 9 vinculados \u00e0 linha de pesquisa Geologia Regional e Aplicada, 7 \u00e0 linha de An\u00e1lise Ambiental para Gerenciamento de Recursos Naturais e 4 docentes colaboradores, todos associados \u00e0 linha de Geologia Regional e Aplicada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objetivo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O PPGGEO tem como objetivo formar profissionais qualificados para atua\u00e7\u00e3o em Geoci\u00eancias e \u00e1reas correlatas, com capacidade de desenvolver pesquisas cient\u00edficas, tecnol\u00f3gicas e aplicadas, voltadas \u00e0 compreens\u00e3o dos processos geol\u00f3gicos, \u00e0 avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de recursos naturais e \u00e0 proposi\u00e7\u00e3o de solu\u00e7\u00f5es para demandas ambientais e econ\u00f4micas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00c1reas de Atua\u00e7\u00e3o<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O Programa atua nas \u00e1reas de Geologia Regional e Aplicada e An\u00e1lise Ambiental para Gerenciamento de Recursos Naturais, com abordagem interdisciplinar que integra diferentes campos das Geoci\u00eancias \u2014 como geologia, geoqu\u00edmica, geof\u00edsica e mineralogia \u2014 a \u00e1reas afins, incluindo qu\u00edmica, biologia, geografia e ci\u00eancias ambientais, visando \u00e0 compreens\u00e3o dos processos naturais e \u00e0 gest\u00e3o sustent\u00e1vel dos recursos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Abordagem Interdisciplinar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A atua\u00e7\u00e3o do PPGGEO \u00e9 pautada na integra\u00e7\u00e3o de diferentes \u00e1reas do conhecimento, permitindo a abordagem de problemas complexos relacionados \u00e0s Geoci\u00eancias de forma abrangente e inovadora. Essa interdisciplinaridade favorece o desenvolvimento de pesquisas aplicadas e o avan\u00e7o cient\u00edfico, contribuindo para solu\u00e7\u00f5es sustent\u00e1veis no uso dos recursos naturais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inser\u00e7\u00e3o Regional<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O PPGGEO\/UFVJM desempenha papel estrat\u00e9gico na forma\u00e7\u00e3o de recursos humanos e na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de conhecimento voltado \u00e0s demandas do Norte e Nordeste de Minas Gerais, regi\u00e3o marcada por grande potencial geol\u00f3gico e desafios socioecon\u00f4micos.
